Latin America and the Caribbean is a changing region. Its democracies have matured, its institutions are being modernized and its citizens are growing increasingly demanding for greater transparency and accountability. These changes have forged a new relationship between Governments, the Private Sector and Civil Society.

At the IDB Group we continue working with Civil Society to improve lives. In response to the regional context and to the future, the IDB established new objectives in its relationship with Civil Society in order to contribute to the advancement of governments’ development agendas, b) Support the best possible implementation of Private Sector initiatives, and c) Strengthen Civil Society’s technical and participatory capacities.
