EQUIS is a feminist organization that works to promote the fundamental right to access to justice as a pre-requisite for the effective enjoyment of all women’s human rights. EQUIS bases its work in a broad definition of the right of access to justice, which includes not just the quality of the judicial process, but also women’s satisfaction with the State’s response, reparation for abuse or injury and the structural conditions which place women in situations of disadvantage.
