Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) is an award-winning non-governmental, non-profit organization located in the Toledo District of Belize. TIDE co-manages marine and terrestrial protected areas with the Government of Belize. TIDE also owns and manages over 23,000 acres of private protected lands. Across these protected areas and beyond, TIDE implements research and monitoring (marine and terrestrial), law enforcement, environmental education and community development.
